Turn project criteria into an auditable lighting package

Fluence helps design, procurement, and facility teams organize the decisions that connect photometric intent to an installable system.

Application review

We translate crop canopy, workplane, occupancy, room surface, and mounting constraints into a selection brief. That brief distinguishes required performance from preferences and identifies data still needed before comparison.

Photometric coordination

Teams receive guidance on the correct IES or LDT file, PPFD map, spectral power distribution, beam distribution, and tested electrical configuration. Assumptions remain visible for design review.

Controls alignment

We document dimming protocol, zoning, schedule, sensor, gateway, and commissioning expectations. This reduces interface ambiguity between luminaires, controls contractors, and building operators.

Four checkpoints from brief to handover

  1. 01 — Define. Capture geometry, performance target, environment, voltage, schedule, and procurement timing.
  2. 02 — Compare. Review usable light, efficacy, uniformity, glare or spectrum, thermal conditions, and service access.
  3. 03 — Confirm. Align files, submittals, listings, controls interfaces, installation details, and quantity assumptions.
  4. 04 — Handover. Organize approved schedules, commissioning notes, warranty references, and maintenance information.

Specification downloads

A useful submittal package is configuration-specific. Ask for the files attached to the proposed optical, driver, spectrum, and controls choices—not a generic family brochure.

File review also has limits. Published distributions do not capture every field condition, and calculated results depend on accurate geometry, reflectance, maintenance factors, crop profile, and equipment placement. The project team remains responsible for final design approval and site verification.

  • IES or LDT photometric data and calculation assumptions
  • PPFD distribution and spectral data for horticultural applications
  • LM-79 electrical and photometric test references
  • LM-80 / TM-21 lifetime context and thermal limits
  • Installation, dimming, and commissioning documentation
