If you're buying fluence led grow lights or recessed lighting for resale, the first question out of your mouth is probably the same one I used to ask: "What's the unit price?" I get it. That's how buying works, right? But after 6 years of managing lighting budgets as a procurement manager, I've learned that the unit price is the least trustworthy number on a quote.

Second, check consistency, not just capability. Order a pilot run. Measure a few units. If the pilot has defects, the volume order will have them too. A 50-unit pilot is cheap insurance before a 1,000-unit commitment.

Third, for private label, make supplier promises contractual. Customization, lead times, warranty, replacement parts—everything. The cost of ambiguity shows up later, and it always lands on your side of the invoice.

When I recommend Fluence—and when I don't

A DLC-listed commodity fixture will do the job for less. That's not a weakness in Fluence; it's just a mismatch. The best supplier depends on the application.

That's the point I keep coming back to. The goal isn't to find the cheapest fixture or the most famous name. It's to find a supplier who can prove their quality, meet your specific needs, and handle the problems you can't predict.
